How Sparks Work

You can collect Sparks from certain quests or eligible activities on ShopBack, then use them to unlock bonus rewards like bonus Cashback, Vouchers, or other ShopBack perks. 

Sparks is designed to help you earn more rewards as you shop!

How to earn Sparks

You can earn Sparks by completing:

• Daily Sparks collection (Collect Daily Sparks)
• Sparks-rewarding quests
• Other ShopBack activities where Sparks are offered
  
   

Not all quests give Sparks - some may reward bonus Cashback, Vouchers, or other bonuses instead.

The number of Sparks you earn from each activity may vary, and new Sparks opportunities may appear throughout the year.

What you can do with Sparks

You can use Sparks to unlock rewards, such as:

• Bonus Cashback
• Vouchers
• Surprise rewards
• Other promotional perks offered in-app
  
   

All available rewards and Sparks costs are shown in the Use Sparks tab.

Rewards and Sparks requirements can change over time.

Flip a Card and surprise rewards

In the Use Sparks tab, you may see options like Flip a card.

• Each flip reveals a random reward
• Rewards vary - some may be higher than others
• The reward you unlock will automatically apply to your next eligible purchase
• Only one reward can be used per purchase
• After unlocking, the reward may expire if you don’t use it in time (expiry is shown on the reward itself)
  
   

Bonus rewards (guaranteed)

Some rewards are fixed (e.g. “+2% bonus on next purchase”).
For these rewards:

• The Sparks cost is shown upfront
• You’ll unlock the reward instantly
• It will automatically apply to your next eligible purchase
• Expiry dates are shown on each unlocked reward
  
   

Sparks expiry

Sparks will expire at the end of the 3rd calendar month after earning.

Within the Use Sparks tab, you’ll see:

• How many Sparks you have available
• How many Sparks will expire

• The exact expiry date
   

  Expired Sparks cannot be reinstated or exchanged for rewards.

Important things to know

• Sparks cannot be purchased, transferred, or exchanged for cash
• Sparks and rewards may be cancelled if obtained through fraud or misuse
• Rewards are subject to availability
• Sparks are issued at ShopBack’s discretion
• Unlocking a bonus reward is final and cannot be reversed

Sparks Terms and conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the use of Sparks within the ShopBack platform. Sparks are loyalty points that users can earn and redeem in accordance with these T&Cs. 

The ShopBack General Terms of Use (“General Terms”) apply to everything else. If these T&Cs conflict with the General Terms, these T&Cs prevail only for the programme mechanics listed above; in all other respects, the General Terms govern.

By earning or redeeming Sparks, you agree to these T&Cs.

2. Nature of Sparks

• Sparks are points that can be earned by performing certain actions on the ShopBack platform.
• Sparks cannot be purchased, transferred, sold, exchanged for cash, or withdrawn from your ShopBack account.
• Sparks are issued at the sole discretion of ShopBack.
  
   

3. Earning Sparks

• Sparks may be earned from completing specific quests or other eligible activities on ShopBack, as determined by ShopBack.
• Not all quests will reward Sparks. Some quests may provide other rewards such as bonus Cashback, vouchers, or gift cards.
• The number of Sparks awarded and the activities eligible to earn Sparks may vary and are subject to change without notice.
  
   

4. Redeeming Sparks

• Sparks can be redeemed for rewards such as bonus Cashback, vouchers, or other benefits offered by ShopBack.
• Redemption options and Sparks requirements will be displayed in-app and may change at any time without prior notice.
• Rewards are subject to availability and ShopBack makes no guarantee that a particular reward will always be available.
• Redemption of Sparks is final and cannot be reversed.
  
   

5. Expiry & Forfeiture

• Sparks may carry an expiry date, which will be displayed in-app where applicable.
  Sparks will expire three months after they’ve been earned. Expired Sparks cannot be reinstated or redeemed.
• Expired Sparks cannot be reinstated or exchanged for rewards.
• Sparks and any rewards redeemed using Sparks may be forfeited or cancelled if obtained through fraudulent, abusive, or suspicious activity, or if a user account is terminated or suspended.
  
   

6. Limitations & Prohibited Uses

• Sparks must only be used in accordance with these T&Cs.
• Sparks cannot be earned through product ratings, reviews, or the sharing of personal data
  
   

7. Amendments & Termination

• ShopBack reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Sparks program at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.
• ShopBack also reserves the right to update these T&Cs at any time. Continued participation in the Sparks program after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised T&Cs.
